My name is Belinda Grant. I love photography and being able to photograph people. They say that if you love what you do, you will never have to work a day in your life. I am always taking photos and always on my computer but never have to work.
I have been a professional photographer for over 25 years. I graduated from the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, with a photo degree and received two internships at The Miami Herald and one at the Palm Beach Post. I was the chief photographer at the Douglas County hometown newspaper, The Record-Courier, for 15 years and have been published in the New York Times, Readers Digest, Nevada Magazine as well as several other publications. I have won national first place awards and consistently won at Nevada press association newspaper awards every year. |

I started my own photography business after the birth of my daughter, Adriana, in 2002. I also taught black and white photography at Western Nevada Community College for 8 years and stopped teaching after the birth of my son, Jimmie.
While attending college I photographed my first wedding and continued doing several weddings a year. After the birth of my daughter, I decided to focus on the wedding photography part of my career. Now it is my full time business. Being a photojournalist has helped me develop an all around shooting style. I can shoot elegant weddings, casual weddings, formal portraits and candids. I enjoy shooting weddings and creating lifetime memories for one of the most important days in a couples life. |
My equipment
I shoot with professional Canon gear. It’s an addiction when it comes to cameras and lenses. |
All photography is shot by Belinda Grant.
